Yellowbrick Road became the latest major winner on the Flat for Golden Horn with a Group 3 victory at Morphettville in the Lord Reims Stakes over 2,600m.
Bred by Ben Sangster, the five-year-old won his sole start in England as a two-year-old before being sold to race in Australia. Saturday’s win was his third in the country and second this month, having also won over 2,100m on 7 February.
Yellowbrick Road is the second foal of the High Chaparral mare Crystal Path, a half-sister to the St Leger winner Rule Of Law.
With the European turf season set to get underway next month, Golden Horn has some exciting stayers to follow this year, including the G2 Queen’s Vase winner Gregory and French Group 3 winner Cauis Chorister.
