East India Dock put himself firmly into the G1 Triumph Hurdle betting for the Cheltenham Festival with a facile second win from just two starts over hurdles in the G2 JCB Triumph Hurdle Trial.
His 18-length Cheltenham victory in the hands of Sam Twiston-Davies came just less than three weeks on from his successful National Hunt debut for James Owen at Wincanton. Prior to that, the Golden Horn three-year-old was trained by James Fanshawe, for whom he won twice on the Flat, earning a mark of 90.
Bred by the Gredley family from the Galileo mare Diamond Bangle, East India Dock follows his half-brother Burdett Road (Muhaarar), who won the same Triumph Hurdle Trial last year, also for Owen.
Golden Horn’s fee for 2025 has been held at £10,000, October 1, SLF.
