Schiaparelli’s prolific daughter Marsh Wren scored the ninth winner of her career on Wednesday when winning her second Listed steeplechase at Market Rasen.
The eight-year-old, trained by Stuart Edmunds, is incredibly consistent, having raced 15 times and notched three placings to go with her string of wins. This first run of the season saw her post a 16-length win over Apple Away.
Another of Schiaparelli’s multiple winners returned triumphant on Wednesday. The six-year-old Mr Bramley won over hurdles at Wetherby for what was his third success in just seven starts. He too was making his first appearance since April for Jedd O’Keeffe. Bred by Mrs F Marriott, he is out of the Sovereign Water mare Apple Days and is a half-brother to four winners, including Miss Applejack (Jack Hobbs).
