8 July 2015
For the sixth time in seven seasons, Kayf Tara finished the National Hunt season as leading British-based sire with 87 winners of 127 races and £1,488,000 in progeny earmings.
This achievement has once again earned him the Whitbread Silver Salver, which was collected by Simon Sweeting at the annual TBA Awards in Newmarket on 7 July.
This was not his only prize of the evening as for the third time, Kayf Tara also won the Horse & Hound Cup for being the leading British-based sire by number of individual chase winners.
His 18 winners included Grade 1 Celebration Chase and Grade 2 Desert Orchid Chase winner Special Tiara and Cheltenham Festival winner The Package.
With the 2015/16 season still in its early stages, Kayf Tara once again heads the table for British jumps sires, with 17 winners of 21 races to date.
