Celebrated breeder Emma Balding – who includes G1 Racing Post Trophy winner and 2015 Classic prospect Elm Park among her many successes – has high praise for her colt from the first crop of Overbury Stud stallion Cityscape: ‘a nice head, lots of quality, and a decent size. And, I might say, a very commercial shape.’
The colt is out of the Stakes-placed Sinndar mare Casual Glance, a half-sister to Side Glance’s sire Passing Glance and also to the high-class sons of Selkirk, Hidden Meadow and Scorned, all of whom the Baldings also bred. ‘We like him so much,’ she continued, ‘this year we are using Cityscape on Casual Glance’s half-sister.’
