Listed winning two-year-old Firebelly, who is also dam of the high-class G3 sprinter Firebeam, has given birth to a ‘gorgeous, outstanding’ foal from the first crop of record-breaking miler Cityscape.
Described by her part-owner Simon Sweeting as ‘short-coupled, correct with a bright outlook and all in all a fabulous type, with her father’s shoulder and swaggering stride’, the bay filly is all the more remarkable as her dam had not produced a foal in the previous three seasons. ‘She is testament to Cityscape excellent fertility, and his ability to stamp his stock with his own magnificent looks,’ said Sweeting.
