Kayf Tara nine-year-old wins fourth Graded chase.
Special Tiara continued the great run for his sire Kayf Tara with his second victory in the G2 Desert Orchid Chase at Kempton.
The nine-year-old, who was bred by David Young, has now won six times, landing a Graded chase in each of the last for seasons, starting with the G1 Maghull Novices’ Chase at Aintree in April 2013. He followed that success with his first Desert Orchid Chase in 2014 and ended last season by winning the G1 AP McCoy Celebration Chase at Sandown. Special Tiara has also been placed in the G1 Queen Mother Champion Chase (twice) and G1 Tingle Creek Chase.
Special Tiara was one of two winners for Kayf Tara on 27 December, with Two Smokin Barrels landing her fourth victory in the TBA Mares’ Handicap Chase at Wetherby. The Richard Evans-bred seven-year-old has also won a point-to-point and over hurdles.
