The yearling sales are now in full flow in Europe and Ardad has made a positive start with his first and sole yearling offered this year at Arqana’s August Sale selling to Chantilly-based trainer Tim Donworth for €135,000.

The colt is out of the G3 Prix Texanita winner Ilanga and was bred by Pierre Talvard’s Haras du Cadran in partnership with United Breeders.

As the British season gets underway on Tuesday at Doncaster with the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale, there are another 20 opportunities to buy an Ardad yearling through the two-day sale, including a filly out of the Shamardal mare Tropical Cyclone from the family of champion gallopers Laverock and Pierro. Catalogued as lot 152, she is consigned by Ardad’s breeders, Tally-Ho Stud.
