Ardad’s son Candy has now strung together an impressive series of three wins since early September, culminating in Saturday’s game victory in the Listed William Hill Two-Year-Old Trophy.
Picking up over £85,000 for the win, the colt now has earnings in excess of £103,000 for owner Phil Cunningham and Richard Spencer, who bought him at last year’s Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale for 28,000gns. Candy was bred by the Executors of the Late Mr W C Wragg from the Denounce mare Danzena.
He is turning into a model of consistency, having finished runner-up in August before winning three in a row at Newbury, Ayr and now Redcar.
A SWEET win 🍬
