Daughter of Listed winner Firebelly to be trained by Hugo Palmer.
A first-crop daughter of Cityscape turned heads at Tattersalls this week when selling to Amanda Skiffington on behalf of MV Magnier, Tim Gredley and Paul Shanahan for 68,000gns.
Bought from Overbury Stud for 30,000gns by Liam Norris at last year’s December Foal Sale, the elegant bay returned a handsome profit for Dan Tunmore who sold her on through Norris Bloodstock.
Bred by Overbury and Dukes Stud, she is a half-sister to three-time winner Firebeam, who was also runner-up for Highclere Thoroughbred Racing in the G3 Hackwood Stakes at Newbury and the Listed Spring Trophy Stakes.
Her dam Firebelly (Nicolotte) won the Listed Premio Gino Mantovani at San Siro. The Cityscape filly will join Hugo Palmer’s string in Newmarket and we look forward to following her progress. There are eight more yearlings by Cityscape to be sold at Tattersalls this week.
