Overbury sires join National Hunt Stallion Showcase in Doncaster.
The Goffs UK January Sale will once again feature some exciting young British-based National Hunt sires and this year we are pleased to be able to show off our new recruit Jack Hobbs at Doncaster on Wednesday, 24 January.
Jack Hobbs, by the proven dual-purpose sire Halling, will stand his first season at Overbury Stud at a fee of £4,000 (October 1, SLF) after an illustrious career which saw him win the Irish Derby and G1 Dubai Sheema Classic, as well as finishing runner-up to his former stable-mate Golden Horn in the Derby at Epsom and twice finishing third in the G1 QIPCO Champion Stakes.
Jack Hobbs will be accompanied to Doncaster by the well travelled Dunaden, the winner of the G1 Melbourne Cup, G1 Caulfield Cup and G1 Hong Kong Vase whose first crop are now two.
Our flagship jumps stallion, the multiple British champion Kayf Tara, and Schiaparelli, whose offspring are starting to make their mark on the track, will not be at Doncaster but breeders are welcome to come to visit them, and all of our stallions, at the farm.
We look forward to catching up with you to discuss your mating plans either here or at Doncaster, and we wish you all a successful breeding season.
