The progressive Divina Grace notched her first black-type win at Newmarket on Saturday in the British Stallion Studs EBF Chalice Stakes.

Bred by Godolphin, the four-year-old was bought as a yearling at Fairyhouse by her trainer Rae Guest for €22,000 and races for Eamon Duggan’s Top Hot And Tails.

She has proved to be an inspired purchase, winning in each of her seasons of racing to date, including in July as a juvenile, also on the July Course and a further three times as a three-year-old. With a revised rating of 100, her record now stands at five wins from 18 starts, and she has been placed on a further seven occasions, including a third-place finish in the Listed Pontefract Castle Stakes.

Divina Grace is one of three stakes winners for Golden Horn on the Flat this season. His top horses include the G2 Queen’s Vase winner Gregory, and his fellow Group 2 winners Botanik, Trawlerman and Derby Italiano hero Goldenas.
