Cityscape earned his first top-level winner on Saturday when his four-year-old son Top One Scape landed the G1 Gran Premio Joaquin S. De Anchorena over a mile at San Isidro racecourse in Argentina.
Bred by Haras Firmamento, the Pablo Guerrero-trained colt beat a 17-strong field to win for the third time in nine starts, including victory in the listed Clasico Manuel Anasagasti. A highly consistent campaigner, he has also been placed on another four occasions.
Cityscape, who has just returned to Overbury Stud from Argentina and is available for viewing, is also the sire of British group winners Dan’s Dream and Give And Take, as well as Ka Ying Star, who was rated 114 in Britain before export to Hong Kong, and the 108-rated Urban Icon.
He covered his best book of mares in 2019 following the Classic trial victories of Dan’s Dream and Give And Take and will stand for £5,000 in 2020.
