The three-year-old Golden Horn filly Higher Leaves completed an excellent season in style with victory in the G3 Prix Fille de l’Air at Toulouse on Monday.
Trained by Henry de Bromhead, Higher Leaves was bred by Derek Iceton and won for the first time in April in a Dundalk maiden on her third start. She bounced straight into stakes company thereafter, and in September won the Listed Prix de Liancourt prior to finishing third in the G3 Pride Stakes at Newmarket. In her last two starts she has raced in the colours of James Wigan.
Higher Leaves is a half-sister to Selenaia (Sea The Moon), winner of last year’s G3 Honeymoon Stakes at Santa Anita.
Golden Horn has now posted new Flat stakes winners in France, Britain, Australia and India this season. His winners in the past week have included the William Haggas-trained two-year-old Santorini Star and hurdler Officer Of State, trained by Gary and Josh Moore.
