Don’t Pass Me By wins over fences at Le Lion d’Angers.
Overbury Stud’s young National Hunt sire Schiaparelli was represented by his first winner in France on Monday when Don’t Pass Me By won over fences at Le Lion d’Angers.
The six-year-old was bred in Britain by H&C Group and is a son of the Montjeu mare Eightdaysaweek, a dual winner on the Flat who is herself out of Figlette, an unraced Darshaan half-sister to Champion Hurdle hero Sublimity.
Having been bought by Nicolas de Bertran de Balanda for €3,000, Don’t Pass Me By now races for owner-trainer Thierry Poche. He joins dual winners Whatmore, Is She Diesel and Schiaparannie, as well as Angels Antics, Call Me Sid, Man From Mars, Wee Bill, Lyreen Lad, Fingareeta and Delatite on the ever-increasing list of winners by Schiaparelli.
