Progressive Cityscape colt had been favourite for the Cambridgeshire.
Urban Aspect, a treble-winning member of the first crop of Cityscape, has been sold to race in Hong Kong, as reported in the Racing Post.
Trainer Andrew Balding said that the Kingsclere Racing Club, which owns the colt, received an offer it was “impossible to refuse” after Urban Aspect notched his hat trick in fine style at York’s Ebor meeting.
Bred by Lady Emma Balding, the three-year-old is from a well established family at Kingsclere Stud, his dam Casual Glance being a half-sister to the Baldings’ Group 2 winner Passing Glance.
Urban Aspect only started his racing career this season on 2 June when third at Chepstow and he has since risen swiftly through the ranks, winning his next three starts and earning a rating of 104. He will be trained in Hong Kong by Tony Cruz.
